April 2007

Here is a snippet of life with a toddler. Meredith cracking herself up saying "NO" at the top of her lungs when she got near the outlet. I guess we must say that a lot! She is hard to capture on film, this is all we could manage last night.

Our first nice weather weekend at the cabin. It was almost 80 degrees! Jesse is going crazy not having his boat in the water. Meredith loved playing in the sand, especially rolling in it along the beach.

Ryan and Morgan Kearney enjoyed the weekend too!
Morgan was especially happy to find a wine glass just her size. Who knew they made them so small?
Meredith was enthralled by Baby Aiden. She liked rocking him in his bouncer chair.

Just for comparison. Aiden is 12 weeks old, Meredith is 15 months. They wear the same size diaper!
Two monkeys. It's too bad Meredith only likes to play with her crib instead of actually sleep when she is in the darn thing. Anyone know of any infant sleeping pills?

We ventured to Gold Fork Hot Springs. It was almost too hot to be in the water.
The ladies in the sandy bottom pool. It literally was the sandy bottom pool as Meredith had at least a pound of sand in her swimsuit when I took it off.

Meredith liked the sand the best!

Opening day of the downtown Boise Saturday Market!
Meredith loves the fountain, she wanted to go right in.

Having a snack in her "spot". Meredith always takes her snacks and her drink and sits on the stairs. I must get this kid a chair!
Taking a spin before bed.
Oh I love the camera!

Oh fun, I finally figured out how to post videos! Here is Meredith getting really mad that I won't let her play with the webcam. Don't worry, she is totally fake crying...

Off to Spokane for Easter weekend! This was Merediths first time at the airport where she could walk and she entertained everyone in the terminal. Not the poor lady that sat next to us on the plan though, she could have done without us!

A lovely day on Long Lake.
Meredith and Dan spent the entire day throwing rocks into the lake. Good thing that the dogs are good at retrieving them!
Mike got the kids a new swing. It was a big hit.

Easter egg hunt #2.

Dan showed Meredith the ropes.

Meredith discovered something curious in the flower bed. She was fascinated with the fake humming bird.

Off to the next Grandparents house! Meredith had a great time blowing bubbles on the deck with Grandma Karan.
I love Easter!
But I hate this fake grass stuff. Especially when it gets on my toes.

Easter egg hunt #3!

Grandpa look an Airplane!

We had an early Easter celebration on Sunday since we will be in Spokane for the actual holiday. Jesse and Gene were giving Meredith tips on the correct way to hunt for eggs!

Getting the hang of it!
Look I got one! What are these anyway?
Do I bang them together?

Adam and Jesse taught Meredith the finer points of March Madness on Saturday. She was rooting for UCLA, bummer.

Grandma Dana brought this robe back from one of her many business trips to Cambodia. It finally fits! Meredith likes the feel of the silk, she was strutting her stuff.

March 2007

Despite the teething-turned-sinus infection-turned-conjunctivitis, we made it up to the cabin for the weekend. The Hume Family was brave enough to make the trip! When the boys got home from skiing we made our way to Gold Fork Hot Springs. We all had a grea time!

First day of Spring Break in Boise! Meredith is getting down to business. Don't worry, no beer in the can. She just liked filling it up and pouring it out...

Meredith likes to have her snack, on her car this week.

Jesse decided that it would be a good idea to buy Morgan the biggest sucker ever. Sorry Ryan and Sarah!

We spent a lovely day at the zoo with the Andersons and the Kearneys. Here are the dads and kids (John/Fisher, Ryan/Morgan, Jesse/Meredith).

Meredith and Fisher had a great time playing in the dino eggs.
Fisher and Meredith after a hard days work at the zoo.

We decided to take advantage of the wonderful weather and kick-off BBQ season. It was fun to see Aiden Kearney enjoying the chaos that comes with having 7 toddlers running around!

Two of Merediths current favorite activities: climbing in the oven drawer and eating on the floor while laying down.

Last weekend my good friend Brooke (Oyler) Ramstad and her husband Eric visited from Seattle. They are moving to Boise in April! We can't wait to welcome them to the "big city". Here we are enjoying $1 bloody marys in Hyde Park.

Enjoying the 70 degree weather at Camelsback Park!

Meredith was enthralled with the Frisbee throwing...

We had Merediths one year photos taken a couple of weeks ago at BB Photography (www.bbphotography.com). Here is one of the collages that they made for us!

13 monts old already! After being away from Meredith for a whole week, Jesse and I are amazed by all the changes. First off, we had to trim Merediths hair. She won't keep any kind of barrette in her hair so we had to do something about those bangs! I let Grandma Karan do the honors as I was too nervous. Merediths first trim!

Meredith went from sometimes walking and sometimes crawling to walking all the time. She is a full-fledged toddler. I think we are going to have our hands full, she has quite the little personality!
