May 2009 - Week 3

What a fun weekend! We were in Boise this weekend and Uncle Chris and Aunt Kortney came to visit. We had a great time and they were good sports. I drug them to the zoo with us on Friday, their second visit no less.
Delaney was so curious about the hedgehog Meredith was petting.
A big milestone, Meredith rode all by herself. Yay - no more motion sickness for Mom!
Uncle Chris and Delaney
On Saturday we hosted a BBQ. AJ and Shannon were in town along with Grammy Danas Mom Lori and Danas youngest some Cory. It's good to know we can easily fit 20 people in the sideyard! Somehow I've ended up with lots of Delaney pictures from the weekend. She is just so fun right now. She loves to say 'uh-oh' play peek-aboo and bug Meredith (already!).
John Anderson and Jesse
Bubble time!
Cocktail time!
Meredith looooves Fisher.
The kids wanted out to play on the swing. They aren't tall enough to reach the latch, I'm so glad we went with the taller fence!
Kortney, Dana, Cori, Lori and Chris at the 'kids' table.
The spread.
I don't know what to do about this kids hair. It's crazy.
Grandma KK made this awesome teepee for the girls. She made my brother and I one ages ago. The girls love it. Thanks Mom!
On Monday we met some of our friends at the park for a picnic and some tennis. By this time Meredith was wipes out from the weekend. Delaney was not!
We were lucky to see AJ and Shannon again before they went back to Portland.
Jeremy broke out a fun balloon toy. This thing shoots the balloons WAY into the sky and makes a really obnoxious sound. The big kids loved it, the little girls weren't too sure about it.
We think Aiden gave up on wooing Meredith so he's making his move on the younger ladies.
Aiden and his gals
The KK countdown is on, Meredith knows that she has 2 more 'sleeps' until we get to go to the airport to pick up Grandma!

May 2009 - Week 3

And....it's summer all of a sudden! We headed to McCall for the weekend with Brooke and Eric Ramstad. They were great sports to put up with the Hamilton gang. Delaney is taking after her sister and doesn't like to sleep at the cabin. I'm determined she will not ruin our summer with sleepless nights. Time to cry it out...
We went 'downtown' to check out the new park. Delaney just wanted out of the stroller.
Jesse and Ramstads checking out the view.
Delaney likes to give kisses now, and say 'uh-oh'!
Meredith was convinced it was time to swim, she opted for the warm sand.
Testing the water. Brrrr.
Delaney is going to be a handful this summer, I need a huge baby play yard to trap her in.
Meredith just loves playing on the beach.
Rafters on the Payette on the way home. Rafting season is upon us!
More beach
View from the Hamilton/Porter beach
No boats yet
We ventured out on a 'hike' on Sunday.
We are excited for warm weather and lots of beach time this summer. We have lots of fun plans and hope we see lots of friends in McCall!

May 2009 - Week 2

What a weekend! I'm in recovery mode today, we had a jam packed weekend full of fun. My mothers day has been wonderful, I'm so blessed to have a great husband and my two sweet girls. What a lucky lady I am!
Delaney comes scurrying everytime she hears me doing dishes, she loves to climb in. Meredith liked to do this too.
To kick off the weekend we had dinner with our neighbors the Smiths. They are the best neighbors ever. They even let Meredith name their chickens. She chose Tracy the Hen and Fancy Nancy. She likes to collect their eggs after lunch every day.
Mark and Jeannine let us use their pool whenever we want. We are spoiled! Meredith hates her swim lessons at the gym because the pool is so much colder than next door.
Jesse and Mark relaxing poolside.
Meredith warmed up by the fire after her swim.
I wish my yard was this pretty!
Jeannine watches Delaney for me on Wednesdays for a couple hours. They are good buddies.
Here we are putting the chickens names up on their coop.
They even have curtains and a windowbox!
The lilacs are blooming.
Family pic
We had a wild Saturday night. The ladies hit Karens house for a little party while daddy daycare went on at our house. The only picture I have is of Aiden around 10pm. I can't remember what happened to his pants, all I know is the broom went home with him. I swear the cleaning cart is the best toy I ever bought! And it's always the boys that like to play with it.
I was waiting for the day when Delaney discovered the toiletpaper. Today was the day! Tomorrow Delaney gets tubes in her ears, let's hope this is the end of her misery and the beginning of long nights of sleep.

May 2009 - Week 1

Wednesday was Merediths 'graduation' from Mom and Tots at Wesleyan. Meredith and I had a great year with Teacher Lindsay and all our friends in class. Meredith made some good friends and so did I! Meredith adores Teacher Lindsay, she always wants to stand by her and tells her all kinds of stories. Sally DeFranco likes Teacher Lindsay too!
Our class gave Lindsay this gorgeous basket to say thanks for her hard work. Tonight we find out which class Meredith will be in next year at Wesleyan. I'm excited to see which friends she will be spending each Tuesday and Thursday with.

We celebrated Jesses 33rd birthday last night with a last-minute get together. When I realized the cake I was making actually made TWO cakes, I had to call in the troops! The strawberry country cake was really good by the way, thanks Ina Garten. Thanks to all our great friends for coming out to celebrate at the last minute. Forgive the pictures, my camera was on a weird setting and I didn't notice until too late.

The gang singing Merediths favorite - Happy Birthday.
Payton and Delaney, 9 months old! Payton had tubes put in on the 5th, Delaney is scheduled for the 11th. I'm praying this will result in more sleep for us all!

Delaney and Isla and Sam in the background!

Meredith asked me the other day why mermaids wear "zucchinis". I think she meant bikinins. It was funny.

Delaney is all over the place these days. She can get around really fast.

I often find Delaney pressed up against the door to the backyard. She loves the dogs. At least someone in our family remember we actually have dogs!
