May 2011 - Week 1

I forgot to blog about last weekend!  We had a little bbq on Friday to celebrate Jesses birthday (no pics).  On Saturday we got to watch my cousin Brett play in a basketball tourney. The girls loved watching the games and it was great to see Brett in action finally.  And also great to see my Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Wayne.  Quinn really like the bleachers.

 Hats made at a Kentucky Derby party were perfect to battle the pouring rain on mothers day.

 I got a few hours to myself on mothers day so Jesse took the girls to see the famous Lucky Peak Rooster Tail.

May 2011 - 10 on 10

What you do:
Take a photo once an hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a snapshot of your life and find beauty among the ordinary things in your day.

This isn't a real 10 on 10 because I didn't quite make it through the day with 10 pictures.  So I stole some from yesteday.  Meredith had a little music performance in her classroom.  One of her classmates has a very talented Grandma who comes into the classroom once a week and teaches a music lesson.  They had a little performance for the end of the year...

 Getting ready for ballet is TYRING.  Kates cast has been the hot topic of conversation at Ballet Idaho the past few weeks.  She fell off a balance beam at Little Gym.

 My own pink nightmare.   Of course the girls LOOOOOVE their costumes for their big recital next week. They better like it for $65...

 Quinn likes to be inside things (under blankets, tables etc...)  She discovered the playhouse today.  Apparently Meredith put her in there and sat her in a chair.  She was happy for a good 15 minutes.

 We had a little dinner date with our friends the Dahlbergs.  Poor Keaton.  This is what happens when you have an accident at a girls only household.  Short shorts.

 On Sunday I took the girls to a circus.  It was the most ghetto circus EVER.  I think they had fun though.  I wish I could describe this event...I'm still processing.

 We could have hit the elephant ride, grabbed cotton candy and gone home. 

The rest of the 'show' was something I could have done witout.

 After 2.5 hours I made the kids leave.  We headed for Logans 1st birthday party where I quickly grabbed the nearest bottle of wine.  The circus took it out of me!

April 2011 - Week 4 + Easter

 A poor, poor showing of Easter pictures on my part.  We were in McCall this weekend and I just don't like taking pictures inside our cabin, they always turn out horrible.  But here are a couple from the weekend.  Papa Jim and KK drove down and suprised the girls on Friday.  They are off on another European adventure here soon so they wanted to get in one last visit. The girls were soooo happy to see them, it was fun to see their shock and awe when the grandparents walked through the door.

Kids were up early wondering if the Easter bunny found his way to McCall.

He did, and he brought Peeps of course. 

 This kid loves sugar. Looks like some window washing is in my future.

 We hit up the Brundage egg hunt.  It was hilarious to watch the kids bomb down the hill to grab eggs.  Meredith and I scoped out the best spots from the chairlift. 

 While Meredith hit the egg hunt from the top of the hill, Delaney went with a different strategy.

No skis and she started from the bottom.

 Delaney is so tiny that it's hard for her to get the hang of skiing, but she made big strides this weekend.

 Meredith is just plain sick of the bunny hill.

April 2011 - Week 3

It's sad that I only have 3 pictures to show from a really fun weekend.  It was good to be in Boise for the weekend to catch up with friends and get some stuff done around the house.  Friday night we spent a couple hours (most of us...someone came home LATE) at a fun pizza party with friends and kids.  I think I had about 10 conversations but never got to finish one of them.  Next time we leave the kids at home!

Do you remember the party bus from our annual pub crawl?  Well a few weeks after the pub crawl there was a Groupon for the party bus/wine tour.  Of course we said okay!  On Sat. 15 of us climbed back on board for an Idaho wine tour.  We started at Cinder, in Garden City which was really fun and easy to get too.  Then it was off to the netherlands of Canyon County.  I think we hit Williamson, Koenig and Ste. Chapelle.  Only bad one was Williamson.  Bad customer service and bad wine.

 We all brought something to share on the bus.  Jessica brought everything but her kitchen sink.  She even brought a whole bag of salt.  Which I enjoyed because it was fancy and organic!
