May 2007

Not the most flattering pictures of the little one but we thought it was pretty funny. She is learning how to use forks and spoons but the other night decided it was a hassle. Couscous is much easier to each by licking it off the tray mixed with some pears. Yummm.

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Boise again this year. It's nice to be in town as it seems everyone else leaves! The Richins had us and the Kearneys over for dinner on Friday night. We introduced them to socializing while trying to herd three kids around! Morgan and Meredith spent some time watering Saras plants with their sippy cups. Meredith felt quite guilty about it. Thanks for the great dinner Richins!

On Saturday Jesse and I went out to dinner with our friends Jen and Aaron Mann (little Mann due in July). We went to our first Boise Burn (arena football). It was very interesting. I was happy to see they had tall beers, Jesse liked the scantily clad "dancers". The people watching was better than a hockey game! I'm still not sure about the funky goal posts?

Apparently that is the coach. They basically run around on the field. It's so weird!

On Sunday I managed to avoid cooking again! We visited our old house on Bannock to celebrate the new patio. Gene and Dana nearly broke their backs laying the rock but it looks great! Much more room for parties and kiddie pools! Meredith just loves visiting her Bapa and Grandma Dana when she is in town.

First corn on the cob. It was a smash hit and kept Meredith entertained for a long time. Thanks Auntie Doke!

I was just thinking today how big Meredith is looking and acting these days. She is growing up so fast. Her vocabulary gets bigger every day, it's so fun to hear her talking! This was our first attempt at any kind of a hair style. I need to work on my skills.

Sitting on the vent is always fun. She likes to feel the AC blow her hair around.

Another fun weekend in McCall. This time the Andersons and Fosters joined us. Fisher and Meredith had a great time and they wore each other out. We have finally been able to get Meredith to sleep through the night at the cabin as well. It makes life so much better!
Merediths #1 favorite thing - being naked! Don't worry, she had tons of sunscreen on.
And eventually she wore her first bikini. Those darn juice box straws always frustrate her!
Tess was an easy distraction. Poor Tess got sat and bounced on all weekend.

Fisher, Jeannette and Shannon catching some down time on the lawn. Ruby and Tucker too! We were all in a gin and tonic haze...
AJ looking like a natural with Fisher. Come on AJ, being a parent is FUN!
John taking the plunge. BRRRR.

Jesse had to have a picture of his new mooring whips. Whatever those are.

AJ had Doc fetching like a pro off the dock.

Fisher trying to snag some of Merediths snacks. She was trying to hide from him!

We took a hike to Louie Lake. Still a bit of snow along the way!

The hike was worth it!

The next Jessica Simpson. Meredith LOVES her rainbow shorts that the Bordners gave her. She likes checking herself out.

We got a fancy new camera and I was messing around with it today at the park. You can't really see the difference on this blog but the pictures are amazing. We need to take a class on how to use the camera, I'm sure I'm not doing it right!

Morgan and Meredith goofing on at Municipal Park.

A girl after my own heart! Merediths first corndog at Lardos in McCall.

A beautiful Mothers Day weekend at the lake with Grandma Karan and Grandpa Jim.
Meredith loves the water and we have to hold her back from running right on in. It was a bit chilly this weekend!

I would like to say the big cabin in the front is ours! Our place is directly behind and we share this great beach, grassy area and dock with the "big" cabin.

Jesse's new toy. Not many boats on the lake with snow still in the mountains!
Meredith wasn't too sure about the boat.
She found it best to be safe in the arms of Grandma.

Back on the beach is where we like it best! *Naomi, you can't really see them but we used the wine stakes!*

Relaxing with a juice box in the sun...this is the life! It's even better with no pants.
Ruby and her collection of sticks.

Meredith prefers to head to the beach via wagon.

A favorite new pasttime is gather pinecones one by one and carrying them up to the deck. We line them up and then throw them down, then repeat!

Mothers Day lunch al fresco. A perfect way to end a great weekend.

Not sure about that crazy hair or those chubby cheeks!

A day in the life of a kid on Ashtree Way. Annabelle and Cooper came over to play with Meredith and her sand/water table. Most of the sand is in the water...
Meredith really loves riding in her seat on moms bikes. She especially loves her pink helmet. She really likes to play with my helmet too.
Ahhh, that's better!

This weekend Aunt Kortney and Uncle Chris flew from Seattle to pay us a visit. Sadly Meredith was not a happy camper, she has an ear infection! Despite the ear problems we managed to celebrate Jesses 31st birthday, it was a great party at the Fosters! We are going to miss them... (www.shannonandaaron.blogspot.com)

This is her "leave me alone and let me drink my juice" face.
The Kearneys brought their fantastic bounce house to the party we had at AJ's on Saturday. Meredith rallied and spent an hour in this thing. She jumped so hard she got a bloody nose.

We got out the old Bumbo seat to pass on to Baby Aiden. Meredith thought it was hilarious. I can't believe she still fits, a testament to how tiny she still is. Still weighing in at 20lbs!
