November 2010 - Week 3 & 4

I've been such a bad blogger lately.  It just seems like I can't quite catch up!
Here are some highlights of our last two weeks.  We spent back to back weekends in McCall which was fun since the snow is really starting to pile up.  I was again reminded how much I love our snow removal guy who plows our driveway at FOURTHIRTYAM on Sunday.  I'm still mad...

It's a rite of passage for our girls to wear this snowsuit.  I swear it's the warmest snowsuit ever made.
Kathie (Nana) was in town for an early Thanksgiving.  Our driveway just happens to be perfect for little people to ski down.  Meredith is back in the saddle...or bindings I guess.
Delaney has her own skis now too, thisis her first time trying them out.

I'm sure Meredith was telling her something nice and supportive!
Jesse and Quinn watching the action.  Jesse is such a great Dad to our girls.
 Totally comfy.
Delaney was not a fan of skiing.  Maybe next time.
Meredith however is ready to hit the slopes at Brundage
Snow angles on the dock, running dog in the background.  Yes!  We still have dogs.
Quinn on the picnic bench taking it all in, it was her first time in the snow.
 Ruby
Nana and the girls.  I can't ever manage to get them looking at me at the same time.
 Quinners in her goofy hat.
We went back to Boise for a few days then headed back up to McCall for Thanksgiving with Papa Jim, KK, Scott and Stacy.  We had a great time!
Practicing being a turkey
 Making dinner rolls
 Discussing techniques
I think Quinn at the most out of all 3 girls, she loved everything we put in front of her.
My favorite time - bedtime!  Delaney is going to be so mad when the Binky Fairy comes...
Maybe as mad as Quinn gets at Santa!
Movie night at the cabin.  Football was on in the other room so we let the girls watch a movie in bed.
Not sure why Meredith is in Delaneys bed and vice versa?
 Annual Tree Hunt!
This year the Richins joined us in the woods.  We found a great new spot. I tagged a bunch of great trees the day before we took the kids out.  Then it snowed and I couldn't find the damn trees.

I think Adam is supervising here.
 Stacy, Scott, Quinn and Jesse
 Hot chocolate time!
Rachel Richins and Meredith.  These two had so much fun in the snow.

Stacy made cute mouse salads for the girls one night!
We had a wonderful thanksgiving with lots to be thankful for...thanks for making the trip Mom, Dad, Scott and Stacy.
Random sidenote - This is the most used kitchen gadget at our house.  BEST baby food maker ever.  Still going strong, thanks Kortney!

November 2010 - Week I &II

My blogging has taken a backseat to some other high priority issues these last couple of weeks.  I couldn't tell you what they are, but I'm sure they were important!  It IS that time of year when things start to get hectic.  Thankfully we escaped to McCall for a little R&R.  It was nice and sunny one day, and rainy the next.  The Ramstads joined us and we had a great time!
Extra hands for babies and drinks!  Thanks Brooke and Eric...
Silly Jesse in the freezing water. The girls thought it was hilarious.
Back on Bannock a favorite game is "Toilet Paper Stuck on Shoe".  Basically Jesse drags the girls around.
Another favortie game is "Who Can Make Quinn Laugh".  Delaney goes for the classic I Like to Move It Move It dance.  Quinn wants some new material.
I noticed some commotion on the next block down this morning.  Our neighbor Al volunteered his HUGE tree to be the Christmas tree at the Capitol building here in Boise.  It was quite a sight to see this monster come down our street escorted by about 12 motorcycle cops.
Almost had to move 3 of our 4 cars out of the way.  (more on that in a moment)
Yes, we have 4 cars at the moment.  Truck, Acadia (mini-van without the sliding doors), the good old Honda and Jesses new car.  For some reason Jesse didn't like not being able to roll the windows down?  It's the end of an era.  My parents bought this car new in 93'.  I drove it while in college and for a bit when we moved to Boise.  Then my brother drove it, then I think maybe my parents had it for a while then it came back to live with us in Boise for the last year and a half.  I posted it on Craigslist today and it sold in a matter of 5 minutes.  Goodbye old friend!

October 2010 - Week 4

I can't say that I'm sad last week is over, it was a candy-infused chaotic one!  We started celebrating Halloween on Wednesday at Delaneys music class.  But as usual I ran out of batteries taking my first picture.  Poor Delaney, typical middle child with no pictures to show.  On Friday it happened to be Merediths snack day at school.  I drug the two little ones with me for cupcakes, apples and cheese.  Gotta have cheese in the Dragonfly classroom (so I'm told).  Here we are with Meredith.
Merediths buddies Cooper, Addison and Ava.
 Delaney and Issac
Addison luuuuuvs Quinn.  Meredith is over it.
I was so busy at our stop during the 'progressive dinner party' we had on Sat. that I didn't get many good pictures.   I did however have to get one of Wendell or Wendy shall we say.  He looked so cute as a girl that Jesse asked whose kid she was...he didn't notice that the dress and shoes were ours.
Can't have Halloween without a pumpkin pinata!
 Delaney takes a whack.
 Ariel gives it a go
Scary Jesse holds the rope.  Meredith FREAKED when she saw Jesse and told him to go put his pants on!
Wendy didn't hit like a girl at all!
Meredith got to stay up late and hang with Mom and Dad.  Nice tan Brooke.
This is what Delaney looks like after 2 days with no nap.
Trick o' Treating next door at the Smiths.

Meredith got a hole of Quinns stem and said "I've picked the perfect jackolantern"
Waiting for that first tooth to arrive, lots of drool.

A quick stop at Papa and Grammies before we hit the Richins
 Kids dinner party!
 Attempt at a group picture.
Kennedy, Eli, Sam, Meredith, Quinn
Leland, Delaney and Hudson trying to escape....
