November Wrap-Up No Pics

November, you did us so so wrong.  Can't wait for December!
Topping off the month, I forgot the turkey and my camera on Thanksgiving.  Guess I know what we are having for Christmas dinner.  Thanks Mom/Dad/Scott/Stacy for putting up with us for 4 whole days!

November 2011 - Week 4

There seems to be an extra week in November this year?  That is too bad since November has been kind of a rotten month around here.  I'll spare you the details but there have been so many trips to various doctors offices, Walgreens and the ER that CPS is sure to come knocking soon.  We are all surviving and in the big scheme of things are problems are pretty small.  So we'll be thankful things aren't worse!

We had a Thanksgiving lunch at Dads office one day last week.
That poor conference table will never be the same again.
I thought the ear infection was bad enough for Quinn but we found a way to make it worse.
It was one of those bad mom moments when I just KNEW I should have put that damn can of pumpkin on a higher shelf.  Luckily the edge of the can hit just right and didn't break a toe or her foot.  Now she is just missing a piece of her big toe.  I wonder if the ER Dr. thought it was weird that my only question was if Quinn would still be able to wear peep toes.  Not my finest hour people.  Clearly you can see that in this photo.  Also not Quinns finest moment.  Poor kid finally got some drugs after screaming for an hour.
Icing the wound.  I couldn't even look...
Much better.
I thought for sure we would all be miserable the next day.  I was proven wrong, I couldn't keep Quinn off her feet.  Like nothing happened!
Poor, sad Delaney battled a UTI all last week.  Poor kid was so tired one afternoon I carried her from the car to our bed and she snored away.
In other news, Jesse threw his back out and now Meredith is sick with something.
Bring it December, can't wait to see what happens next month!

Stone Soup Feast at Roosevelt

Meredith invited Delaney (this is big people) and I to attend her Kindergarten Stone Soup Feast today at her school.  They have been working all month on placemats, napkin holders, costumes, food etc...to get ready for the big day.  Thankfully I left the terrorist (Quinn) at home so we did not have a Thanksgiving masacre on our hands.  Delaney, Meredith and I had a great feast!
Poor Delaney is fighting off a bad UTI and was NOT feeling well but insisted on going.  Meredith sometimes is proud to show off her little sister...sometimes.
Cooper sat at our table too.  He is a big Delaney fan.
Liam G, or Liam B (there are so many of them) and Meredith.
Meredith opted to be a Native American at the feast.  KK sent us some shells she hand picked off the beach in South Carolina last month, she then hand drilled holes.  What a Grandma I tell you!  We made pretty necklaces with the shells and some wooden beads.
Some Native Americans (NOT Indians).  Only 2 kids opted to be Pilgrims.  I think the fancy vests and feaethers swayed the Kindergartners a bit.

Meredith got to decorate a big feather for the class turkey!
So much to say about this picture...
On the way out of the school there is a big board with a picture of each student and their "I am..." chalkboard.  It's huge and fun to look at but my first thought was that it totally reminded me of the Holocaust museum I have visited in D.C., which is horrible I know.
My second thought is that this might be behind the bar at Suds Tavern in a few years with a sign saying "Not Permitted".

November 2011 - Week 1

Last weekend we celebrated baby Ramstad with a shower at our house.  I had a great co-host and we both think everything turned out pretty good!  We had a fun time planning and an even better time spoiling Brooke and her baby-girl-to-be.  I stole these pictures from Laura..

Super easy vellum mobile I made.  Tutorial HERE.

Last day of October

I can't say that I am sad to see Halloween go...it was busy, but fun!  We started the day off at Mom + Tots with special guest Nana.  Delaney got to do special Halloween projects, show Nana her classroom and eat lots of sweet treats of course.
After we picked up Meredith at her school we met up with Grammy at her office for some trick or treating.  The girls LOVED seeing Grammy dressed up.  Meredith decided to give her Arial wig a try but Delaney left her purple hair at home.
Time for the big leagues! Arial getting ready to hit the streets.
They wouldn't stand still for a picture.  Too excited.  Thankfully it was actually pretty nice outside!

We ran into a dragon named Wendell
 and a tiger named Cash.
Delaney in her purple hair.  She was more into watching the other tick or treaters than getting candy.  She also would not let go of my hand near the 'spooky' houses.
Upside down wings work fine I'm told.
Heading into the madnes on Warm Springs (not quite as bad as Harrison!)

We've been checking out the spooky houses on Warm Springs for weeks.  Meredith was excited to finally get to see some goblins up close.
Love this guy who always gives out stickers and cider!
