More October...

October is always busy - but fun!  Lots of field trip to the pumpkin patch.
Here is Quinn and her friend Ruby on a chilly day last week.
Being the only kid left at home during the day with me Quinn gets to do all sorts of fun things.  Like stack cases of wine for the big Ben Towne event!
Meredith has been participating in Girls on the Run at Roosevelt.
We suspected that she might like running and we were right!
The girls did a little practice 5K...

Speedy Meredith came in 1st!  Great confidence booster...
Quinn got some snuggles in with cousin London
We headed to McCall to winterize the cabin.  We got all the patio furniture put away, wood chopped and stacked and skis are getting tuned up!
The girls and I went geocaching and found a cool cache in a birds nest.
70 something in October so Jesse and Dylan had to go water skiing.
We watched from the park and did some goofing around.

It was a gorgeous day with not one other boat on the lake.

Big news - Delaney has a 'wiggly' tooth.  She's also recovering from a 3 week bout of the plague.  Kindergarten is kicking her bum.
Everybody getting in on the wiggling action
Parent observation day at Ballet Idaho.
She looked so darn cute I could hardly contain myself.

Riley the hamster died this weekend but Quinn is glad we still have Ruby!
Jesse and Meredith killing it at the Halloween 5K!
She shaved off 3 min and finished in 30 minutes.

Somehow it's October

We are loving the really really warm fall we are having here in Idaho.
Actually, I would like to put my shorts away, but that's another story.  We've been having a great time now that we are settled into our 'routine'.
We had a fun visit from KK and Papa Jim last week.  A few days in Boise and a few days in McCall...
We always like to visit the McCall Oktoberfest celebration.  It's great people watching and the kids have a good  time too.  And beer.

Straight home from McCall to the Harvestfest at the Botanical Gardens.
By far our favorite fall activity.  All the typical kids stuff but wine/beer/music!

Speaking of wine.  My monthly shipment or wine for the upcoming Ben Towne event?  Hard to tell.
Randomly Meredith was paired with a pen pal at another school who happens to be one of her oldest friends.  #smalltownliving
First bus ride for Delaney to the pumpkin patch!
Dragonfly preschool buddies Lucia and Lucy are kindergartners with Delaney at Roosevelt.
Jesse is off being manly in the woods hunting elk so I had to keep the kids busy.  We had a really fun time at the BSU womens volleyball game.
Meredith asked where the sand was...hmmmm, maybe too much time spent on the beach this summer.
These two.  They think they are something else.

 Growing up!
After a quick stop at the park, then home for dinner we headed to the zoo for some spooky fun.

Hard to see but a huge storm blew in really fast and there were a million leaves flying around.  Kids loved it.
 Always fun at zoo Boise.
