February 2011 - Week 4

As I uploaded these pictures I noticed a trend.  Poor Quinn gets tormented...a lot around here.
First there was this after her morning nap (yes, no clothes on any of the kids yet at 11am).  It's okay because we were in McCall where we basically go from pjs to long johns all winter.
2 ski bunnies ready to go!
I don't know why I am suprised that Delaney loves to go ski with her Dad and sister.  I haven't witnessed it myself but apparently she has no fear.
I did manage to escape...I mean leave the cabin once last weekend.  The Brouses were once again nice enough to entertain our large crew for an evening.  Again, poor Quinn getting tortured by Stickerhead.  I knew she was doing something naughty when 20 min. when by without a fight.
Quinn wondering if I am really actually going to let Marcus and Cohen have a turn pushing her.
Meredith loves the sadle stool and the old school blocks she gets to play with at the Brouses.
Taelor came up to me and said "I think Delaney should marry Marcus."  Marcus quickly said "No, no, Delaney should marry Cohen!"  Smart boy that Marcus.
Cohen (2.5), Meredith (5), Taelor(5), Marcus(3) and Delaney(2.5).
 More torture.
Fighting over who gets to 'hug' Quinn.
Poor Quinn doesn't stand a chance.
Maddie is Quinns bff.  She doesn't tackle, pinch, kick or bite her.
I felt bad for Quinn so I gave her a little taste of frosting off a beater.
Which reminds me of our HORRIBLE dentist appt. this morning.  For once in my life I am a-okay in the teeth department.  My poor Meredith ended up with my rotten teeth.  8 cavities.  EIGHT.  I didn't think it was possible.  Worst Mom of the year award goes to me for sure.

February 2011 - Week 3

We had a busy week with ski lessons, ballet, Kindermusik, doctor appointments, runny noses and a couple nights on the town for Mom and Dad!  I will be registering Meredith for kindergarten here soon so it was time to get some immunizations.  I keep a camera in my diaper bag now so I decided to take a couple pictures to kill some time while we waited for the doc.  We have spent a LOT of time in this office.
 Meredith checking Delaneys brain.
Meredith didn't have school last Friday so we ventured to a new play place out in Nampa (shocker!).  It was really nice and new and clean.  The kids loved the big playhouse.

It will be nice when the girls are old enough to help out around the house.
Delaney likes to do the dishes already.
Only the best for our 3rd born!
On Sat. night we hit up the Childrens Home Gala with the Bordners.  It was fun to catch up with some of my old co-workers.  Remind me not to sandwich a bottle of wine between margarits and mojitos.
 Getting chatty...
Jeremy really wanted to win the raffle.
 Kirstin may take up drumming.
Random shot of the week:  Hot Rock filet from Barbacoa.  A good friend of mine from highschool was in town with his wife.  The Richins and us took them to Barbacoa for dinner.  As usual it was great.  And I did rally to have a few XXX drinks (the best!).   We had a great time catching up and laughing about our extreme highschool dorkiness.
*note - you can purchase the chandelier in the Barbacoa entry for a measley $10K*

February 2011 - Week 2

As much as I love holidays, I need a break!  I feel like it's been nothing but party and present time since Christmas.  We are running out of room over here.  I feel really bad we didn't get more time to spend on Valentines for our friends and family this year.  Somehow the day just snuck up on me. The girls got some special packages in the mail on Saturday so I let them open a couple each day.

First up from Nana and Papa Mike - new toys!
Quinn loves this ball that rolls around on it's own.
New Leapster games and Barbie computer were a hit.
And yes, the girls think it's summer and appropriate to wear summer pjs.
Not quite summer, but WARM!  I am hoping Meredith will love riding her new bike which will make getting around this summer much easier.
Delaney tries her hardest to keep up with her big sister.  Meredith has a baby seat for dolls on the back of her bike.  Delaney had to improvise.
We rode/walked/strolled to the park on Sunday.  Quinn LOVEs the swings.
Valentines Day!  The kids got leftover Christmas gifts.
We got home from the gym/school to find a nice suprise for all the girls.
Jesse sent us an edible arrangment and some balloons for the girls.  They really really loved that it was on the porch when we got home.  Paige loved that she got to have chocolate covered strawberries with us!
A Lady and the Tramp moment.

10 on 10 - February 2011

10 on 10

What you do:
Take a photo once an hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a snapshot of your life and find beauty among the ordinary things in your day.

I can't believe I actually remembered to do this today.  Yeah me!
We eat a lot of toast in the mornings.  Of course each kid has to have it a certain way and of course none of them like the same thing.  I'm kind of like a short order cook on most days.
Soooo close to crawling.  My days are numbered.
Morning dance recital for Delaney and Bitty Bitty.
I believe this was just before the 1st of Delaneys many, many tantrums today.
Killing some time after the gym at Zeppole.  Roasted red pepper and feta sandwich for me and pumpkin bread for the little ladies.
Carbs!  Love that this place is on my way home (kind of) from the gym.
Carwash!  Note that the TV screen is not down.  Tantrums = no TV in the car.
And when I tell Delaney this, she well...has a fit.  Awesome.
Quick Shining the hardwoods.  This stuff is amazing.
Writing thank you notes to her friends.
Playing 'school'.  Meredith is always the teacher of course.  Ms. Bossy Pants can't stand when she isn't the teacher/queen/princess/1st in line/Mom.  She must get that from Jesse because I am in NO way a control freak.  No way, not me.
Quinn has started greeting me after naps like this:

February 2011 - Week 1 + Merediths Birthday!

Our sweet girl turned 5 last friday.  I think she enjoyed her 2 day celebration!  It's still hard to believe that she is five years old.  I was okay with all her other birthdays but now she seems so big to me.  Now I truly understand when parents and grandparents claim the years fly by, they really do.  We have loved every second with Meredith.

Jesse got up early and got doughnuts for breakfast.  We let Meredith open one present.
No more Dollar Store Rapunzel wig, she has the real deal now.
Quinn had some serious bedhead that day.
A big box turned Rapunzel tower.
We opened presents after a family dinner.  Q and D were pooped.

A new bike for Meredith means a new bike for Delaney.  Sorry buddy, I think this is your lot in life!
On Saturday Meredith got to have her friends birthday party at Ballet Idaho.
Nothing better than a Princess Ballerina party!

Miss Lacey is a former Miss Idaho and teaches pre-ballet.
Meredith loooooves her.
Quinn was quite enthralled with the whole thing.
Meredith got to teach her friends how to curtsy

All the girls lined up to posse across the room.
Delaney was a DOLL and did just what the big girls were doing, the whole time.
Delaney was last in line...
Waiting to patiently (rare!)
All the big girls cheered her on...
So proud
This is Addison.  Meredith and Addison are attached at the hip
Present time!
This was Merediths favortie part.  She got to wear a real tiara.
