May 2012 - Week 4

Another rainy Memorial Day weekend in the books.  It always seems to be rainy and crappy at the end of May.  We really embraced our inner Idaho and headed to the mountains.  We usually like to go to Golf Fork Hot Springs but decided to venture  up to Burgdorf.  It was great and it's our new favorite spot!  The weather was just right...snowing.
 Super rustic.
Meredith was thrilled to ride up with her buddy Crew and his family who joined us.
Saylor is a 6th grader and Delaneys new BFF.
 Just a dusting!
Oh Quinn...you keep us on our toes.
The bathtub runoff catcher was a hit with the kids.
Poor Saylor didn't know she was going to have to haul 2 kids around all day.  I think we found our new beach babysitter for the summer!
The kids liked exploring the old cabins
The Brouses were there too.  Taelor and Marcus, Quinn and Meredith.  Delaney was being a stinker so I cut her out of the shot.
It was a bit nicer on Monday (just in time to go home!) so we visited the Brouses horses.  The girls had a great time and getting a little horse fever...

Thats Ruby in the background...yep, we still have a dog!
Jesse went on a loooong trail ride with some other dudes.
He came home looking like he got in a knife fight.

More Delaney!

I thought this deserved it's own post.  Delaney learned to ride a bike today!  She mastered the Skuut bike last week and decided to give her friend Lucys big girl bike a whirl.  She didn't need any help, she was up and off in a second.  So fun to see her cruising up and down the street!
Pretty proud of herself.  Maybe next time we'll buckle the helmet and get some shoes on the kid.
 And she's off!
Quinn was the most excited.  Little does she know that this means she's going to get left in the dust this summer with Mom.
So proud of our big girl!  Not even 4 yet...

May 2012 - Week 3

All About Delaney!

Oh how we love this little girl.  Sometimes I worry about her more than the others.  She is so petite and being the middle child I often worry she is getting left out.  Last week was all about Delaney!
We wrapped up our year together in the Mom and Tots program at Wesleyan.  Next year she'll be going 2 days a week without Mom.  She is most excited about going all by herself.
We had an end of the year party at the park.  Thanks to Sara for all the pictures!  I will miss our Monday morning chats...

Eli, Sam and Delaney
Giving Teacher Amy hugs.
Delaney also start Soccer Tots this spring.  It's a neat little intro to soccer.
Her buddies Hudson and Sam are in her class too!
Coach Stever is her new favorite.
Here I am pushing Quinn, drinking coffee while trying to watch Delaney.
I just can't seem to give any kid 100%.  Hopefully Delaney doesn't notice much.
Meanwhile over at the field...tackling Coach Steve
Chasing Coach Steve
Chasing the hoop Coach Stever threw...
Quinn gettin in on the action
A cute game of kick the bubble.  Remember, no hands!
Delaney and Charlotte
Super Kicks into to goal at the end of practice.

May 2012 - Week 2

I guess when the sun comes out, so does my camera!  Grammy Dana got a new toy to buzz around town.  The girls get a big kick out of riding around the block.  They both have a death grip on Jesse!

We celebrated Mothers Day in McCall with KK and Papa Jim!
KK is the best because she always gives you cookies...
 even right before dinner.
And she lets you play in a plastic bubble cave which is totally safe.

Mothers Day suprsie for moi!  New paddleboard.  Now I have no excuse for not exersising in McCall.
Swapping skiis for paddlesboards.  Brundage in the background.
KK, Papa and Delaney on our new dock!
We raced back to Boise to have dinner with Papa Gene and Grammy.  The girls got special matching Tinkerbell dresses to wear in the Pixie Dust Apartment.
Time to dig out the sunscreen I guess.
 Eating (shoveling) watermelon.
 Friends forever?  Let's hope!
How cool is the PDA?  It's now turned into a Tiki Hut.  The girls like to serve shaved ice and soup...
Papa Gene and his best girl.
As Quinn would say "Super happy!"
Gotta do whatever big sister is doing.  This is going to be bad in years to come me thinks.
 Goofy Quinn
 Being scary lions
First shorts of the season!  And new Saltwaters of course.  I think we've gone through 8 pairs so far.
Last week Sara and I took the kids on a bike/run/stroll to Bown Crossing.
It's perfect, Powells candy store for the kids, then across the street to BierThirty for the moms!
This might have to be a weekly outing...
 Phone pics from last week:

Throwing rocks in McCall
Shopping at Pauls in McCall takes 10x's as long.
 Ahhh, finally the new dock!
