December 2010 - Week 3

If only I could stop time!  I usually don't get sentimental while blogging but those sweet cheeks (on Quinn!) just about make my heart burst.  Despite the chaos in our daily life I am really trying to enjoy each minute with my babes because frankly, they aren't getting any younger!

We have had a super busy week here in Boise.  Lots of parties and playdates and cookies.  Lots of cookies.
Meredith had her preschool Christmas program on Friday.  KK came into town to see the big performance and to help with a big ol' party we had on Saturday.
The little boy next to Meredith refused to sing because he was standing next to a girl.  I love preschoolers.
Of course Meredith is next to her BFF Addison.
Dragonflies!  Note the lack of boys...Cooper, Isaac and Owen have it made!
Delaney (front row) got to join in on story time.
The Porter Twins weren't too sure about sitting with big sister Ava.
 Attention span of 2 seconds.
Cayla Crisman, Addison Montgomery, Meredith and Ava Porter
Saturday we held our annual Gingerbread house/man party.  I couldn't quite swing making EIGHTEEN houses this year so I stuck with gingerbread men and hot buttered rum.
 Decorating table before...
 Wendell and Delaney
I found these two holigans in the corner eating their freshly decorated cookies!
Isla and Payton
We had to take shifts decorating upstairs and doing a project downstairs
Unsupervised Delaney, not a good thing.
 Aftermath
 Ari Nevala made an appearance!
 And Cash McBride came too!
And of course the big guy himself came to hand out gifts...
 Maybe next year Payton!
Morgan has always been a fan!
I love this picture.  Can you see Case freaking out on the chair?!
Ryan uses Aiden as an excuse to sit on Santas lap...again.
 Keep trying Isla!
 Sam was in heaven.
Wendell tried not to make eye contact.
Kennedy needed a little help from Mom and Dad.
Discussing Avas new Ken barbie and Polly Pockets I'm sure.
I wonder when they will figure out who is behind that beard?
Gotta torture the babies a little bit
 Poor Eva!
Grammie thinks there is something familiar about Santa?
We had such a great time with a ton of kids and friends.  Thanks everyone for joining us!

December 2010 - Week 2

Christmas is in full swing!  It's been non-stop around here for the past couple of weeks.  Fun but exhausting!
On Friday we had a fun party with some friends, probably a good thing there were no pictures. Remind me that margaritas chased with sangria is never a good idea.
We also had a quick visit to our favortie family Doc.  We made it almost 2 months with tubes in Quinns ears before another infection.  Not quite sure what to do at this point.  Good news is that it is probably not a milk allergy, Quinn had some formula today and didn't puke everywhere.

On a brighter note Grammie Dana and I took Meredith to the Nutcracker today.  We all had a great time.  I think Delaney might get to go next year too!  She was sad when we left.  Meredith told her "It's okay, it's going to be like church.  We just sit and nothing happens".  I'm so glad we've been going to church...
That is a huge candy cane on the tree behind us.
Checking out the tree at La Vi En Rose where we had a fancy brunch before the Nutcracker.
Loving her furry coat - thanks KK!
 At the show!

December 2010 - Week 1

Doing better on actually posting pictures this week...but the order is all off.  Bare with me I'm still a little foggy from Saturday night.

Between fun Holiday parties last weekend we managed to put some lights up for the first time ever.  I was informed early on that we would NOT be putting lights up the peak of the roof.  Maybe next year?
Quinn got a kick out of watching Jesse put the lights up.  Not pictured is Delaney having her 1130am meltdown and Meredith building a snowman with neighbor Mark.
Okay, so now on to Monday!  We went with some friends to the Botanical Gardens Winter Aglow, or Winter Gardens a Glo-Glow (Andy! He's a Coug so we'll let it go).  It was a perfect night to go, not too cold and not too busy.  Plus it's only one second away from our house.
Sisters warming up by a fire.
 Quinn hanging in the backpack
 Meredith, Delaney, Kennedy and Katherine
 Add a Sam and Grace
 Awww, friends!
The train was a huge hit.

 Trouble with a capital T.

Meredith ran into her bestie Addison
Best part of the night, hot chocolate and cookies!
 Richins!
Hamiltons!
Rewind back to Saturday night.  2nd Annual Holiday Pub Crawl (and Apple Cup!).
For some reason we think it's a great idea to get 40 people to bar hop for a night instead of one family hosting a huge Holiday party.  This year we traveled in style in the "Penthouse".  It.  Was. Awesome.
There were pretty ladies and big drinks.
 Lots of Huskies!
 A couple Ramstads
 Jeremy circa 1987
 Some luvahs
A hater at Lucky 13.  He did pour good drinks though.
A pretty man in an ugly sweater
Lots of friends!  And a good time had by all.
