August 2010 - Week 4 Part II

We have been having such a good time in McCall this week.  It's been so fun to have Jesse here all week with us.  Especially fun that KK and Papa Jim drove down to visit for a few days as well.  Lots of helping hands for me!

Jesse has some clients who train and board horses near Donnelly.  He has been talking about getting the girls to their ranch to ride 'real' horses.  Since we had time this week Jesse to the girls for a visit.  Josh and his family were so nice and the girls had a wonderful time.
Meredith and her new friend.
You can see the forest fire near Tamarack in the background
SO much fun!
All week Delaney kept telling us she wanted to ride a 'baby' horse not a big horse.  She changed her mind when she saw Meredith riding a 'big' horse.
Fun day!
Thanks Josh!

August 2010 - Week 4 Par I

What a fun weekend in McCall!  We've been looking forward to a long stay at our cabin all summer.  We kicked off the trip with a visit from the Dahlbergs and Slaughters.  It was so great to have them, I don't think I cooked or cleaned up all weekend.  What a treat!

Keaton and the ladies
Up high with Dad and Ben!
Lunch at Mile High Marina.  Meredith LOVES her baby sister, she likes to be around her all the time.
Ben and Sarah Slaughter
Quinn is growing up fast.
Buried kids!  We love it when the Howells are at their place down the beach.
Thomas Howell, Keaton, Ashley Howeel, Meredith and Delaney
Ashley is an awesome swimmer.  A day on the water with Ashley is just what Meredith needed.  The swam and swam and swam.  Meredith did great out in the deep water, we were so pround (and happy that we know she could handle swimming by herself if anything happened).
Tired Mom with no makeup.  Quinn looks cute though!
Attempt to get all the kids in the shot.
The big hit this weekend was the Dahlbergs camper or the "bus" as the kids called it.  We let them watch a movie one night and Meredith got to sleep out there one night.  I think it will be the highlight of her summer.  Thanks Dahlbergs!
Delaney decided to eat her breakfast in style the other morning.  What on earth?

August 2010 - Week 3

It was so nice to be in town last weekend.  I was getting a little sick of packing and unpacking this family!  We had a mellow weekend with lots of outside time as it wasn't too hot.  Jesse and I got to go out with friends on Sat. to a wedding reception and the girls got to have a Daddy breakfast date.

Delaney munching on some Happy Baby Food!
Meredith has discovered pbskids.org and their online games.  What makes it more fun is playing computer games dressed as a bride.  Delaney likes to wear her shades indoors and out.
Aunt Kortney and Uncle Chris got the girls this sprinkler a while ago, they love playing in the water.
Running around the world!
We are soooo lucky to have awesome neighbors with an awesome pool and beautiful backyard.  We did A LOT of swimming this weekend.  Hours and hours.  The little path between our houses is so lush, reminds me of Seattle.
Huge grape vineson the left...
Meredith learned to dive for rings.
So proud!
Now, off to the Dr. where I am sure Quinn is going to be diagnosed with her 2nd ear infection.  I'm going to ask about getting her tubes and hopefully avoid a ton of trips to the Dr. and lots of sleepless nights.  My poor children and their ear infections!

August 2010 - Week 2

It seems that Quinn is getting to have all the fun these days!  She got to travel with Jesse and I to Sun Valley for a couple of days last week.  Jesse had a conference to attend, so I tagged along.  Thanks to Papa Mike and Nana for coming to Boise to stay with the 'big girls'!

Hanging out at the Sun Valley Resort.
We traveled from SV to Stanely, the prettiest place in Idaho if you ask me!  We rented a cabin with a bunch of our friends (24 adults/11 kids - yowza!).  The cabin had a great deck with an impressive view of the Sawtooths.  Brook took much better PICTURES.
Jeremy and a couple kiddos.
Jesse and Quinn - 4 months old today!
Payton contemplating her next move.
The Bumbo seat was a big hit with kids of all ages!

August 2010 - Week 1 Mid-Week Birthday Update!

Delaney Jane turned 2 today!  She is giving us a run for our money in the parenting department that is for sure.  I can't wait to see what the next year brings for this little lady!
Family presents in the morning.
Her own Bitty!  She's calling her Itty Bitty Baby.  This is going to get confusing.
Such a good Mommy.
We had a little party at the park tonight.  Of course it was a million degrees.
Delaney showing us '2' on her fingers.
The partee, complete with butterfly cake that didn't turn out so well.  Damn you Betty Crocker, you made it seem so easy.
Favors - thanks KK!
Jesse tending to Quinn and his gout.  Yes, gout.  He is 80 apparently.
Quinners!
3/4's of the Richins!
Meredith tends to get a little overheated.  Can you tell?
We celebrated with Payton again this year.  So fun!  Our annual Mom/Daughter picture.
Waiting for cake.
Happy Birthday Payton and Delaney!
Birthday girl and her Dad.
Frosting +100 degree heat = Mess
Eli!
A big suprise was waiting when we got home.  Papa Gene built the girls a "Kid Car Wash"!  Good thing we don't park in our garage - no room with all the contraptions we are accumulating.
Thanks everyone for sharing Delaneys big day!
