March 2011 - Week 4

The girls got their hair cut last week and thought it was pretty great.
Delaney actually fell asleep getting her hair washed.
Delaney is really into 'helping' me lately.  Here she is feeding Quinn her morning egg.
Fantastic ladies weekend in McCall!  I feel badly that we got the best snow of the year while the boys had their catski trip cancelled last month.  Next year boys!
Brooke and I bunked up and did some late night reading.  Classy.
8 of us went skiing while some others hit the spa.
Brooke, Marjorie, Sarah, Karen, Heather, Kirstin and Heather!
 It snowed...A LOT.
 Stuck in the pow.
Brooke in the coat of shame from the depths of the cabin closet.
Brooke, Karen and I went skiing a second day too!
Ladies at the lodge.  So much fun!
 More and more snow.
Awesome friends, awesome skiing and awesome weekend!

March 2011 - Week 3

We all survived the last 4 days without Jesse.  Thats like a zillion years in Mom Time.  I must say, the kids were great (with the exception of a few tantrums from a certain 2 year old).  All in all we had a good time, but we are glad that Dad is home again.
Jesse was at a triple bachelor party so don't feel too sorry for him!  Although he did miss his flight to Spokane on Wed. and had to detour through Cali., but that is a whole other story.

In the meantime we celebrated St. Patricks Day and Grammy Danas birthday on Thursday.
The Grandparents and I took the kids for Flatbread for dinner.  The kids did great and I got wine so all was right with the world.
Delaney was on her best behavior.
Making their own pizza is a hit with the kids.

The wine cork and creepy new toy from Powells were a hit with Quinn.
When we got home we suprised Dana with lots of cake and candles.
And a new ipad.  She better hide that, it might disappear...
Cousin Anna made an appeareance.  Delaney was trying to keep her awake.
It's tough to be 9 weeks old.
This is Quinns favorite thing to do and Papa and Grammys.
Hide under the tablecloth.
Some of the 50 balloons Dana got at her office.
I saw the clouds part on Sat. so we rushed off to the zoo.  It was a great day to be there, all the animals were very active.  Especially Daddy Lion.  Delaney got brave and went right up to him.
 Things are going great...
This guy took a swipe at the glass and I've never seen Delaney move so fast!
I later found out the glass has been replaced several times after being cracked. Super!
 Sunday dinner with Papa.
Delaney and Meredith tricked us with their popsicles.  Brownies dipped in melted chocolate.
Fat free of course.
Now that Jesse has a couple guys weekends under his belt, I can't wait for my girls weekend in McCall. Watch out McCall, 10 tired Moms coming your way...

March 2011 - Week 2

We had a great weekend in McCall!  Six years later...I actually got to go ski.  A big thanks to Gene and Dana who stayed at the cabin with Quinn. I wasn't really a fan of the sport when I started ages ago.  It could be because of my 1st "lesson" which consisted of Jesse feeding me 8 beers on the bunny hill then pushing me down the top of Schwietzer.  Anyway, I have new skiis and we had a great day.  I'm pretty sure I was the only one on the mountain without a helmet.
Goofing off while I buy a 2011-2012 pass.  It's on Brundage!  I might even attempt a green circle run by next year.  Maybe.
On Sunday we got to take just Meredith up to ski.  We had so much fun with her.  Jesse hit the trees while Meredith and I stayed on the groomers.
Why are my goggles bigger than my head?  I might need to update my gear.
Happy as a clam with Papa!
I was anxious to get home and see my new backsplash.  Should have done this in the first place.  We had subway tiles added about the marble.  So much better.
I got a treat for some lady friends. Cake balls!  I can't wait to dig into these later while we watch The Bachelor finale.

10 on 10 - March Edition

I had big plans, huge plans to make this the best 10 on 10 ever.  I failed miserably.  It was just one of those days where nothing happened quite as planned.  I'm not sure why I am suprised because this is the story of my life.  Still an eventful day, I am short one picture because well...I just missed
all the good stuff but managed to capture the most random moments of the day.

Corraling the kids while I tried to put on makeup.  It didn't last long.
Delaney is obsessed with deoderant.
Delaney is also obesessed with snacking.
"Quick" trip to Costco to get a couple things.  And yes, I did make it out under a $100.  My bill was $99.56.  Such a bad shot of the girls.  Quinn gaping, Delaney picking and Meredith drooling (more on that later).  Why don't all stores have carts with double seats up front?
Poor Meredith had her cavities filled today.  Jesse was the lucky one that got to escort her to the dentists office.  God bless our dear neighbor (and dentist) for calling me right after to tell me she did great!
Trying to smile - still numb!
To make Meredith (me) feel better we hit up McDonalds for our once a year treat.
Shamrock Shakes!  I am not a fan of the new way they serve milkshakes.  Too much whipped cream.
Ahhh, a bad start to Merediths public school years.  Today was Kindergarten registration - guess who forgot her camera?!  We decided to ride bikes at the last minute (yes, we got caught in the storm)and I forgot my camera and the pretty picture Meredith drew for her new teacher.   Bad mom for sure.
She did score a new hat and shirt and I even attached the tagalong correctly so there were no accidents on the way.  Meredith was scared to ride behind me!
Jesse came home sick from work and went straight to bed.  With my dishwasher down I had to get some new help.  Pants are not a requirement.
Quinn doing a little reading before bed.  Let's hope tonight is better than the last.  She had serious diahrea last night, all night.  Fun!   And no, those aren't red pants.  I guess the bath water was a bit warm.  I'm on a roll today!  Happy 11 month birthday baby girl.
I meant to get a picture of the new tree in Delaneys room when the lighting was better but obviously that did not happen.  Quinn freaks when she sees the birds and is scared to touch them.

March 2011 - Week 1

March already?!  That means Quinn is getting closer to turning one.  Always a bittersweet birthday...
Quinn loves, I mean LOVES animals.  She starts shaking and yelling when she sees cats, dogs, squirrels.  I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so we can hit the zoo.  She also loves blueberries which I have to practically hide from her.  She freaks if she sees the container on the counter.  I'm glad she likes them but boy, the diapers are not so pretty.
We had a moment of sunshine last week so we hit the swing out front.
Jesse had a late dinner meeting on Friday so we had some friends over for a playdate/pizza party.  7 girls and 1 boy...poor fella!  Thanks for playing Bryans and Haggetts.
We had to keep him out of harms way with all the girls running around in poofy dresses.  I'm sure Thomas loved sitting in the pink Bumbo.  Thomas, Ava and Charlotte have awesome parents who have their own outdoor clothing company.  Check it out HERE.
Live entertainment.  Notice Meredith looking away, she is looking at herself in the window.
Just like her Dad.
I attended an awesome baby shower on Sat. and decided to really slum it and get fried chicken from Albertsons for dinner.  Paired with a $30 bottle of champagne (thanks Brooke and Karen for sharing!) and it was pretty darn good.
I'm not sure what happened to Delaneys hair but we called her Snookie the rest of the night.
This kid is giving me a run for my money, but I just can't get enough of her.
