November 2009 - Week 4

Thanksgiving 2009 - check! We had a great holiday in McCall this year. We were lucky to celebrate with my parents, brother and his girlfriend Stacy. Espcially lucky because they brought all the food with them! We just provided the entertainment.
Meredith got to sleep in a 'special' bed in our room. By special, I mean a mattress on the floor. Here we are testing it out, I have to say it was pretty comfy.
Delaney Jane on a wagon ride. Oddly happy for not sleeping all night.
Papa Jim and KK wrangling the girls into the wagon at Shore Lodge.
Off we go for the 2 min. walk home.
Checking out the dock.
Turkey time
KK comes prepared, favors and everything. Do you like our plates? Came with the cabin...
Kid wine for Meredith and Mom!
Delaney decided not to nap on Thanksgiving day, she was a nightmare by dinnertime. So we just let her roam around with her blanket and binky.
Scott and Stacy
Meredith with the Grandparents
Delaney perked up a bit when we let her play in a glass of water.
Uncle Scotty brought his wii, Meredith is actually really good at bowling. Shirts optional.
We hit up the McCall Festival of Trees to see Santa. We had to entice Delaney with a candy cane. Didn't work.
But Meredith liked the big guy!
Annual tree cutting pilgrimage into the woods.
Record time, record number of trees found!
Jackson, Meredith and Ashley
3 trees...one truck.
Papa Jim is TALL.
We put the tree up during Apple Cup since it was a dismal game. Go huskies!
Delaneys favorite toy is a digital camera.
No ladders needed with Papa Jim around!
Thanks for a great visit Mom, Dad, Scott and Stacy!

November 2009 - Week 3

It was pretty nice on Friday afternoon so I raked a big pile of leaves for the kids to play in, they loved it! Too bad we didn't get all the leaves raked and bagged before the snow flew. Jesse finaly broke down and borrowed his Dads leaf blower. It's now his new favorite toy, there is not one leaf left in our yard!

Delaney is not so sure about mittens. What are these things?

Where's Meredith?

Where did Meredith go?

November 2009 - Week 3

Sorry folks, no pictures this week. For some reason I didn't take any pictures last weekend in McCall. I was just too darn lazy! We enjoyed playing in the snow and visiting with our dear friend Brooke who came with us to the cabin.

Pictures next week, I promise. I think this is the lull before the storm...the storm of Holiday pictures that is, I'm sure I'll have a ton.

November 2009 - Week 2

I didn't have much to report after another weekend in Boise but a couple things happened today to make me smile.
  • We had Merediths first parent/teacher conference which went great!
  • I noticed Delaney has 2 new molars. That explains the crankiness!
  • We were playing Dr. tonight, Meredith handed me a slip of paper and said "Here is a bill for my services". Where does she get this stuff?
  • Jesse had the day off which was a nice change of pace on a Wednesday.

Stay tuned - Big news coming on Friday!

October 2009 - Week 4

We started this last week with a little pumpkin carving. It took Delaney a long time to be okay with touching the guts, she mostly just sat in her little chair and watched. I think she was scared! And Miss Meredith tends to do things either pantless or shirtless, this night she went sans shirt.

Big pumpkin, which the squirrels promptly destroyed.
Oreo cookie aftermath.
Boo!
Our trick-O-treating gang. Aiden (dragon), Delaney (Jasmines sidekick), Morgan (Minnie) and Effie (pumpkin). Not pictured is Isla who was a cute bumblebee!
Getting ready to head out! Meredith refused to wear her head scarf for some reason. Today she loves it.
Morgan and Meredith at a "Spooky" house down the street. We had no idea how busy Warm Springs was going to be on Halloween. Where have all these people been the last 8 years?
The morning after. 2 unhappy, tired kids. That's what they get for getting up at 6pm. And look at all the candy Mom...I mean Meredith gets to eat.
