September 2010 - Week 4ish

I guess we are blogging backward today, starting with...well today!   It was a busy morning that started with a fun family brunch at Jesse aunt Carols house (which used to be Jesse grandparents home so it's fun to go back and see the girls playing there like Jesse used to do!).  Anyway, we got to see lots of cousins and cute new baby Xavier.
Meredith climbing the fence in the backyard which I'm sure Jesse used to do.
Quinn and her favorite guy Papa Gene.
Crazy haired girl.
Grammy getting her fix since there will be no more newborns across the street!
9 days old Xavier, his mom is Hannah who is Jesses cousin.
Next up - Fishers birthday bash!  Quinn got to swing for the first time and loved it.

Not to be outdone Delaney wanted to swing AND have her picture taken too.
Birthday boy!  Meredith tells me at least once a week that she is going to marry Fisher.
Buddies.  Probably Ryders 3rd hamburger.  That kid can eat!
Sweet Payton
John at the grill
Did someone say pinata?!

Finn taking it all in.
Meredith gave it her all...
feeding frenzy
Rewind to Saturday!  BSU v. OSU. Big deal here in Boise.  We mooched off some friends and left the girls with their kids and sitter while we tailgated.  2 hours of fun!
*I stole these photos from Brooke and Sara!*
The Pioneer tailgate party getting closed up.  I think they went through 36 cases of beer...
ESPN Game Day with Papa Gene
Hello Richins!

BSU tailgate heaven.

Boys, Boys and More Boys

Congrats to our friends Ryan and Heather who had a baby boy this on Friday!  And happy birthday to their daughter Isla who turned 2 today!  Another congrats to Jesse's cousin Hannah and Juan on the birth of their little man Xavier who was born last Thursday.  I think these babies mark the #2 and #3 baby boys out of 9 boys that our friends/family are having this fall.  I guess we used up all the girl tickets.
Sidenote:
Meredith and I made an outing to St. Lukes to see all the new babes.  In not my finest 'Mom Moment' I failed to hook up the tagalong to my bike correctly and the darn thing came off as we were riding to the hospital.  Meredith was a trooper and thankfully a nice lady saw the whole thing and had some bandaides on hand.  Ooops.

September 2010 - Week 2 or 3...

I've been a bad blogger, I know.  We have just been busy around here!  Poor Quinn has been fighting ear infection after ear infection.  We've both about had it with Dr. appointments on Saturdays and with anitbiotics (every try and give medicine to a baby that has only had breastmilk?  Not easy).  Needless to say I am calling tomorrow for a referal to the ENT to get tubes in this poor kids ears.  I know what a difference they can make.  In the meantime you would never know she was in pain!  5 months old and 4 infections already.  Thank GOD for the Nap Nanny.  Recall or not we are still using it, I swear it's the only reason we have slept at all lately.

*I am editing this because I suck and should not complain.  Ear infections are nothing compared to food allergies.  We miss you Kearneys - looks like there is some fun being had despite all the yucky stuff.*
She watches us eat our meals and I can tell she can't wait to join in on the good stuff.
She has yet to bend her legs.  Straight out all the time!
She loves the exersaucer.  Maybe now her head won't be so flat?
My bathtime helper Delaney.  Don't let the cute face fool you.  This kid is a firecracker to say the least.
Trying out the Jumperoo.  We had to  put the doorway jumper away.  Delaney thought it was fun to give Quinn underdogs.
Hmmm, finally figured out the lights.  Not good.
Typical chaotic dinner at our house.  Where is Moms chair you ask?  I don't get one!
After watching Quinn howl and drool while we ate I got out some rice cereal.
Not a fan.
Much happier in her new bow from Idaho Indie Works.
Meredith told me I that I have to bring Quinn to her school wearing her bow so her teachers can see because she knows they will just love it.  Meredith adoooores Quinny.
Face plant.  She is so close to sitting up, and not close to rolling over at all.
Another big milestone at our house is that Delaney is in her big girl bed!  I was really nervous about the transition since Delaney tends to be on the 'difficult' side.  She has done great and has yet to try and get out!
Getting ready for bed.  I know these 3 will got through phases of maybe not liking each other but I sure hope that in the long run they are best of friends!  Right now I think Meredith would like to sell Delaney to the gypsies.

September 2010 - Week 1

What a week!  Sorry for the lack of posts from last weekend (I know you have all been waiting to see what exciting adventures we have been up too!).  We took it easy (ie. drank a lot of wine) here in Boise last weekend and got lots of projects done around the house.   And don't forget we also watched the BRONCOS WIN BIG!

Today Meredith started her last year of pre-school.  She was so excited to see her friends this morning.
Delaney insists on being in every photo along with her sunglasses of course.
Finding her cubby.  Old hat!
I had to drag Delaney kicking and screaming out of the classroom.  Maybe she will be ready for pre-school next year?
Right back into the swing of things.  This was about 30 seconds after arriving.
Ahhh Quinn, where were you?  In the carseat of course - your second home.
