October 2008

For some reason these photos are kind of out of order, sorry! Before the big move was the big day - Halloween. It was so much fun this year with Meredith, she had such a good time. We went to a party at the Bordners and trick-or-treated in their hood. Jesse, Adam, Ryan and Jeremy were The Wiggles. It was hilarious and I'll have a photo soon. Jesse also decided to grow a mustache for the occassion.
Meredith was a flamenco dancer. We got this outfit in Spain last year, it was too cute.
Delaney was a silly bug.
Last picture at our old house!
Making cupcakes for the party. Thanks KK for the fun toppers!
New mom Heather was enjoying her PBR.
Morgan and Meredith are good buddies.
Last picture of Marjorie before she had her baby on Saturday! Congrats to the new parents. The little one is named Wendell Brooks and he is adorable.
Kiddos trick-or-treating
Pre-trick or treating anticipation!

It brings a tear to my eye to write this...we're moved! I'm typing in my beautiful new kitchen with my lovely surround sound and fantastic wireless internet. After a small mishap (movers showed up 3 hours late) we're getting all settled. We are so thankful to my awesome inlaws who have taken care of the girls today. Pictures to come soon!

6 days until the big move. I swear we just did this. We don't have a yard, a sink, heat, or a range but we're moving anyway! Say a little prayer that a ton of work gets done in the next 5 days before the movers show up and our builder heads to Mexico for vacation. I planned on having lots of new pictures but the door on the house was installed and we don't have a new key.

We are getting excited for Halloween at our house! Meredith loves looking at all the Halloween decorations around town. She keeps asking me "why are there witches and ghosts at Halloween?". How do I explain that one? She also asked me if I would get her a bra and if I keep Delaneys milk in my tummy. She keeps us entertained that is for sure!

At least one of them is smiling. Meredith loves to hold Delaney all by herself.

Smiley Delaney before a bath. She's rolling over both ways already!
Every time I turn around Meredith has a surprise for me.
Delaney and Grammy Dana

Delaney and Papa Gene

The Bordners and Andersons joined us for pizza on Friday night. For some reason the kids would not keep their clothes on. We made a rule, they had to at least have undies on. At one point I found the three of them naked pretending to go pee in the bathtub. So weird.

Jeremy is intent on watching the BSU game. I'm not sure what the other two are doing.

Delaney, Meredith, Fisher, Ryder and Payton. Fisher keeps asking his mom and dad for a baby sister like all his friends. He'll rue the day he said that!

The girls.

Delaney and Payton aren't into each other yet.

Three scary monsters practicing for Halloween

Despite our housing woes, we managed to have a fun weekend. The good news is that we close on the sale of our Ashtree house on Monday, the bad news is that we don't have anywhere to live as of the 31st. Think our new house will be finished in 10 days? I'm not so sure. It was a lovely fall day for the Jennings annual pumpkin carving party. We sure are going to miss our awesome neighbors.

Me and Delaney who is 11 weeks old tomorrow. She is getting big - already rolling over! She completely hates being on her tummy.

Sure fire kid pleaser - bouncey house!
My flamenco dancer carving her pumpkin. She tells everyone she is a "flamingo dancer".

Delaney enjoying the party.
Our friends Kate and Kelly Goulet. Can you tell what state they are from?

We had another fun weekend with Papa Jim and Grandma KK. Jesse was going to go hunting for five days but decided to stay home and pack up the house instead. We had a great time as usual with the Grandparents!

Bitty Baby got a new Halloween costume

Meredith always gets to make lots of yummy treats when Grandma KK is around
More sugar!
On Friday we ventured to Horseshoe Bend to ride the Thunder Mountain Pumpkin Liner Express. It was great fun and we hope to make it a tradition. Kirstin, Ryder and Payton came along too!
Unplanned matching outfits for the girls.
Meredith was SO excited to be on a real train.

Getting ready to go...

One car was open-air, a bit chilly!
Arriving at the pumpkin patch.
Kistin, Payton and a pumpkin
Threatning skies

Taking a load off on a pumpkin
Delaney weighed in at 9lbs. 12 oz last week, my little pumpkin!
I may never get both kids looking at me at the same time. Or smiling.
And when we got back to Boise this is what it looked like in our backyard. Snow. In October.

A few mid-week pictures. Has it been a long week or is it just me? Here is Meredith at Wesleyan pre-pre-school. We do a year of "Mom and Tots" before I let her go off into preschool all by herself. Basically the kids play and the moms chat.

We are 23 days away from moving, think it's going to be finished in time? Here is the kitchen with the island, cabinets and trim. The two open cabinets have doors with glass. The island will have a butcher block top.

Toilets have arrived! Here is the powder room. I have yet to see what actual color the walls are, it's been too dark.
Master bath vanity. Still needs it's marble top and the center console.
Master shower. It's big people. A giant might fit.
Yay for toilets!

I had to post some cute pics of our friens the Porters. We finally got to meet Case and Grayson in person, they are adorable. And of course Miss Ava is adorable too. Meredith and Ava were born 3 weeks apart and Delaney and they boys were 3 weeks apart!

And I thought I had my hands full, Melissa is my hero!

I'm selling our 4 black Ethan Allen crossback barstools if anyone is interested, here is the Craigs List posting! We are 4 weeks out from moving and these just won't fit in the new house. Sad because I love them.

This is a bit long, Delaney is really starting to giggle and "talk" now.

Delaney is our smiley girl who doesn't like to take naps. She is 2 months old now!

An attempt at a family picture. What is up with my bangs?
