March 2009 - Week 4

Let's see, what did we do this past weekend. Not a whole lot which was nice! Jesse headed to McCall on Thursday evening since they got hammered with snow. He came home Friday night just in time to see the Zags get smoked. I battled through a few more sleepless nights, hopefully we are done with the bad ear infection. It hasn't affected her appetite. She is my little gourmet. Yesterday I pureed up some leftover flank steak and herbed potatoes. She LOVED it. Last night we went out for Mexican and she ate half an avacodo with rice and cheese + butternut squash applesauce that I made. She eats more than Meredith does at most meals.
On Sat. the Kearneys and Richins (minus Adam) came over for dinner. 5 adults + 6 kids = chaos. Delaney trying to see what all the fuss is about.
Aiden saw me get out the camera so he grabbed Merediths. It's upside down buddy!
Meredith got to hold Baby Eli.In other news we swapped Delaneys room into the middle room. Although the front bedroom was super cute with the best windows in the house it was also a bit noisy and very bright. I didn't feel like re-ordering blackout shades, it's going to be scorching in the summer. The middle bedroom is proving to be a much better fit although it doesn't have the cute wainscotting or built in desk or pink walls! We also got a super cute rug for the girls bathroom at the new store out in Eagle www.thebabydaily.com. The girls love it, it's made out of jersey cotton and is really soft.
Meredith likes to crawl in with Delaney. She is also practicing her "camera smile".
Delaneys big milestone this week is that she can get from laying down to sitting up all by herself which is great because she hates being on her tummy and now I don't have to help her get up!

March 2009 - Week 3

Is it the 3rd week of March? I have no idea. The weeks are just zooming by it seems. We could use some warmer weather about now, serious cabin fever here. Thankfully Papa Jim and KK came down to watch the NCAA games with Jesse. A nice break for me and the girls!
Delaney J. is currently obsessed with avacados. The girls loves them. Unfortunately this treat got left in her highchair for a few days. 3 day old avacado is not pleasant.
6 years later...my wedding dress finally made it to my house. Thanks Mom! Meredith thought it was the best thing ever.
Delaney thought it was pretty funny to see Meredith all fancy.
The weather was perfect for a Roosevelt Market wine tasting. The market is about 2 blocks from our house, we spend far too much money there. About once a month they host a wine tasting and they are always jam packed. No fire pits needed!
An interesting seat for Delaney. Leave it to KK to make the kiddos happy.
Yay for wine! Grammie Dana joined us before she flew to Spokane for the weekend.
Fun tricks
Munching on a Mum.
Between games Papa Jim got in some quality kid time.
Messing around in the front yard
Miss Delaney
Baby in a pot, chewing on cardboard. The kid will eat anything. A few days ago she started gaging and we discovered she had been eating leaves. She coughed up a few whole leaves throughout the night.
Where are you spring? We're ready and waiting!

March 2009 - Week 2

We're still rooting for the Zags even though we are bummed they won't be playing in Boise.

I've been a little tardy with my blogging lately. We are going through some transitions at our house and my computer time is limited. It's been rough in the Hamilton household, Miss Meredith decided that she doesn't need naps anymore. A sad, sad day for me that is for sure. So now we have quiet time in the afternoons. The good news is that bedtime comes a lot sooner!

We had some friends over for dinner on Saturday. We are itching for some good BBQ weather. "Jimmy" was on hand to entertain Meredith. He also entertained us adults with the video of his big boxing match from last week where he broke the other dudes nose. Everyone think good thoughts for Payton Bordner who is back in the hospital was RSV. Poor kiddo.

Heather, Ryan and Isla come to visit.
Ryder and Meredith decided to wear their PJs starting at 6pm.
Earlier that day Meredith helped Jesse stain the fence.
Here she is in her "work" pants. Nice.

Snack Time and Silly Sisters

I started giving Delaney snacks in the afternoon. The girl loves to eat!
No one can make Delaney laugh like Meredith. She is just enthralled with everything Meredith is doing or saying at all times of the day.

February 2009 - Week 4

We've got a little spring fever here on Bannock. Jesse has been dying to put up a swing for the girls on the big tree in our front yard. I say deathtrap, he says hours of fun! We're just wondering who will be the first to break their arm? It's also my new mission in life to find some more attractive nylon rope. The blue and white just doesn't cut it.

On Friday night I was the "table captain" at a fundraiser for the Small Village Foundation. I convinced my fellow bookclubers it would be a fun night - and it was! Jennifer and Noelle had a good time...
Brooke and Laura had a good time...
Shauna and Sarah had a good time...
Dana and I had a good time as well! We raised lots of money for a great cause and our bookclub is now the proud sponsor of a water filtration tank in S. Africa. Yay us!
