April 2012 - Week 3

Our week started with some treats dropped off by my sweet friend Sara.  A new Rosauers opened in Boise and we were curious to see if the cookies were the same we used to eat in Spokane.

They are just the same!  Might be worth a trip to Eagle every once in a while.

 Spring has sprung which means we get to head outside again and hit all our favorite summer spots.

We went to the Botanical Gardens with the Kings...90 degrees won't stop us!

 It was still 90+ when the girls begged to have a lemonade stand.  After years of saying 'no', I finally relented!  They had so much fun...

 The Pixie Dust Apt. is getting spruced up for the summer too.

 Quinn dreams of having 'Punzel hair'.

 Nothing like some wine and popscicles on a hot Monday afternoon!  My friend Sherrie came over with her cute girls just before the big storm...

 My lilacs are making up for not blooming last year.

 Back to the Dr. to make sure Delaney wasn't too horribly sick.  Thankfully I remembered the ipad.

 Quinn still screamed when she saw Dr. Sackman.  Even though she wasn't even the patient.

 Meredith is trying SO hard to perfect her penny drop at her school. 



April 2012 - Week 2

We drug the kids up to Brundage one last time before beach season begins.  Meredith got new skis and POLES (which she was really excited about) so that bumped Delaney up into new skis and Quinn got to try skiing as well.  Needles to say we didn't last long.  Delaney doesn't like to turn and Quinn likes to ride the lift IN her skis but then freak out at the top of the hill.  Exhausting is what it was!  Luckily we were in good company.  The Brouses were in McCall too which made for a fun apres ski bbq in the

super muddy parking lot.

 Quinn was begging to go to bed that night.

 Still excited about the missing tooth.  And being able to stick pretzels through the hole.

 The girls LOVE to paint ceramics.  Lucky for us there is a little pottery place in McCall that we frequent.  And lucky for some grandmas...Mothers Day is right around the corner!



Easter and Birthdays!

I dusted the old camera off for our busy Easter weekend.  I'm so proud of myself for remembering!

KK and Papa Jim stopped in for a visit on their way home from Arizona.  It was so fun to celebrate Easter and 2 different birthdays with them here in Boise.  The girls were pretty excited about the Easter bunny having stopped by our house.

 Quinn was especially fond of hunting for eggs.  I'm sure glad the Easter bunny remembered to hide some eggs around the house!

 Easter baskets and egg hunting done in 4 minutes.  What's next?

By dinner time the girls were ready to ditch their cute Easter dresses for their Easter jammies.

 Papa Jims birthday happened to fall on Easter this year so we got to celebrate a lot on Sunday!

 With such a busy weekend I had little time or motivation to throw a party for Quinns second birthday.  Poor kid will just have to wait another year!  She looooves a book called Limu the Blue Turtle so we had a 'turtle' party across the street.  The balloon was the only turtle decoration we could find.  Lame!

 Her new slide from KK and Papa Jim made up for the lack of decorations.

 Moving on up!  Got rid of the 'baby' slide that Meredith got on her 1st birthday.  Sniff, Sniff.
