June Catch Up

We have been busy, very busy!  Summer is in full swing around here and we haven't slowed down a bit.  So here are some pictures from the last few weeks to catch you up on what we've been doing with ourselves and our no school, no activities kind of days!

Miss Summer and her mom Brooke came over for a visit.
Poor Summer had to endure being fed her dinner by the Hamilton girls.
 Highlight of their week!
We celebrated the retirement of our favorite neighbor and dentist!  Jeannine threw Mark a great party complete with a trolly ride and dinner at a Tavola.  A favorite spot of mine.

Love these guys, they are so good to us.
An oldie from a car ride home from McCall.  This is how we packem' all in the truck.
It's BBQ season!  These 2 are loosing major teeth.
Marjorie put together an awesome activity.  She froze a bunch of toys and then let the kids pound the heck out of the ice to get the toys and candy.
 Success!
 No broken fingers for Charlotte!
We painted fish at the MK Nature Center.  The kids always love doing this.

Then you put the shirt over the fish and voila!
 Quinn even got a turn.
I'm not a huge fan of pedicures but Meredith was curious so we hit up our local nail spot.
Don't get used to this kiddo.
What do you do after you get your nails done?
Go to the rodeo!
 Where are those damn princesses!
I think they liked the cotton candy better than the mutton busting.

Summertime means swim lessons.  A rite of passage for every kid.
This year we scored.  Private teacher in the neighbors pool!
Quinn doesn't really like the idea of someone teaching her anything so we settled for some waterwings.
Ay yi yi...I can feel the gray hair coming in.
No water wings for these two fish.
The one time she let Celeste touch her in the pool.
Another lost tooth that then got lost a few hours later.  This was good because the Tooth Fairy didn't have any cash on hand that day.
Delaney already moved up to the next bike...
We swam every day last week.
The East End Market has the best free face painting in town!
 Sea turtle Limu.  Still obsessed.
Happy Fathers Day Papa Gene!  A saw blade, just what every guy wants.
And strawberry cake, just what every Mom wants on Fathers Day.
Jesse and his #1 fan.  All day long she asks me where Dada is and when he is coming home.
Thanks for being such a great Dad and husband Jesse!

End of School/Kindergarten Graduation

The last week of school was a whirlwind!  Lots of fun projects, field trips and parties.  Meredith just loved Kindergarten at Roosevelt, we are so lucky to have a super Kindergarten teacher.  She's probably thrilled to have a little break before the next round of Hamilton girls arrive!  The kids got to have field day last week and for once it was perfectly sunny.  I manned the double bounce house slide.  I gotta say, I went down and it was scary!  More scary though was the 6 grade girls in their tiny swimsuits going down this thing.  Ay yi yi.  Disaster did not strike, all clothing stayed on.

Kindergartners climbing...
Next up was games in the gym.
No field day is complete without a dunk tank.  One of Merediths classmates has a brother home from college.  He helped the Kindergartners all day and even volunteered to be the dunkee.  What a great kid.
 Meredith taking her turn.
I don't really remember 'graduating' from Kindergarten being a big deal, but apparently it is a big deal.
Meredith had her big graduation last week.
These 2 might as well be graduation as well.  I think they were in the classroom as much as Meredith!
These 2 goofed off while I set up the little 'reception'.
 Daddys and Papas were present.
 Graduation is SERIOUS.
15 Kindergarteners = Awesome School Year!
 You are my sunshine!
Sleeping at the end of a song and then they wake up 1st graders...or something like that.
 Happy kid, happy teacher.
 All the Hamilton girls
 Very rare family photo
Wiggly woggly tooth still holding on
 Best Buddies
Meredith didn't really think much of 'graduation'.  The last day of school however, I found her curled up sobbing about missing Kindergarten.  She did have a great year!  See you in 2014 Mrs. Cadwell!
