Telluride - A Comedy of Errors

I'm not quite sure were to start in the telling of our Telluride adventure. Let's just say if it could go wrong, it DID go wrong. Despite a lot of roadblocks it was great to see our friends from Seattle and Kirsten and Mike get married! Let's just say we laughed a lot...
This was the view from our room in our cabin. This was at 8am, after having arrived at 5am after driving from Denver for 6 hours in a rented shuttle van. $600 later the Cramers and Hamiltons arrived safe and kind of sound. United Airlines can suck it.
My favorite part of the trip was riding the gondolas everywhere!
Me and Darcy heading into Telluride
We're alive! We weren't sure Malcolm our driver was going to keep it between the lines on the drive from Denver. We also thought at one point he may just take us into the woods and kill us.
Cabins we stayed in at the Mountain Village

Fall colors were starting to show. Sorry Idaho, Colorado puts you to shame. The town of Telluride

Friday night welcome dinner in Telluride. Rachele, Darcy, Chelsey and Naomi.
Hamiltons!
Droz's
DG ladies. Naomi, Darci G., Chelsey, Lindsay, Rachele, Darcy I., Kirsten, Jolene, Nancy, Kelly and me!
The day after. A lot of Gatorade was consumed. This was at Tracks where Jesse left his debit card. Thus cancelling our account...
Iwens in Mountain Village
A sneak peek at the pretty bride!
Mike and Kirsten, in the sun!
And then the rain came...sideways.
Thanks Mike for moving us inside!
Ben and Darcy toughing it out. The wine helped.
Trevor and Darci (from Crested Butte) would have toughed it out. Hank, I'm not so sure about.
I knew bringing my raincoat was a good idea!

And par for the course...my camera ran out of batteries! Trust me, it was a GORGEOUS wedding held at Allreds at the top of Chair 7. A fantastic time was had by all of course. To end the trip we decided to drive the wrong way to Montrose. Not to worry, thanks to speed racer Chad we made our plane and got home safely!
