It's a big week here at the Hamilton House. Meredith is turning 5 of Friday. FIVE. That seems really big to me, I think this might be a 'milestone' birthday! She is very excited for her party on Saturday and keeps reminding me that there are 'no boys allowed', except for Papas and Dads.
It is also kind of a big week for me and Quinn. We just wrapped up 10 months of nursing. It took a little doing but my girl is finally taking a bottle. It was time.
So I did the math, since Friday is Merediths birthday and that is when I first started nursing kids 5 years ago.
In the last 60 months (almost to the day!) I have spent 32 months nursing.
I never, ever really planned on nursing long-term but it has been such a great journey. I wish I could count up the hours I got to spend in my good old glider rocking the girls. There were some rough patches and sometimes it was hard but I'm so lucky that I was able to nurse for so long. Now, will those kids every appreciate all the sleepless nights? I doubt it, but that's okay. I will cherish every second with my little stinkers before they are off and running.
I can't even write about Kindergarten registration next month...deep breathes.

We did the kinder thing today...I can't believe it.
I'm planning my "No More Boobies" party as we speak! I've got a few months to go yet :) I think we're neck and neck with the months over the past 5 years...scary!
