February 2012 - Week 3

We had a fun Valentines Tuesday packed with all our regular activities plus boat loads of candy.  I am pretty sure it was worse, candy-wise than Halloween.  Still detoxing here and slowly, secretly throwing candy out.  Despite the sugar highs and lows we had a great Valentines!

We finally made it back to the Idaho Aquarium.  Meredith requested that she get to bring some friends since she didn't have a big birthday party this year.  Ava Mae and Morgan joined us on Presidents Day for the outing.  I was reminded why we never venture out on non-school days...it was chaos.

February 2012 - Week 2

Not a lot to show from our busy week.  I think it was because we were in the car most of the time!

It was my turn to take 4 kindergartners to Bogus for ski lessons last Wednesday.  It was really funny to listen to them all sing every word to Kidz Bop all the way up to the mountain.

 Meredith also had her 100th day of school celebration. 

 And this...well this nearly broke my heart.  Ella is a classmate of Merediths.  She made this for her Mom during a playdate at our house.  Her mom, Julie is in San Diego fighting cancer.  We sure hope she comes home soon to see her girls.  I took a picture and sent it to Julie so she could see what a great little writer Ella is becoming.  It's also a good reminder for me to really cherish every
second, good and bad with my kids.

February 2012 - Week 1

There was a big birthday in our household last week.  Meredith turned 6 on the 4th!  I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday.  Sara pointed out that turning 6 is a big deal because you have to use both hands to show 6.  That IS a big deal around here.  On Friday Meredith got to bring treats to school and bring a 'share' item.

We spent the birthday weekend in McCall with Nana (Papa Mike had to work).  We all got to go skiing and enjoy the spring-like weather on the mountain.  Meredith is officially done with the bunny hill.  Take me to the top she says!

 On Sunday when we got home we went across the street for dinner with Papa Gene and Grammy.  Meredith had requested spaghetti, meatballs and salad.
